		<description>Intersting, now I can use my GNOME as an ion[1] environment :-)

I&#039;m not being ironic, although it may seem that. Ion is not exactly a window manager, but a frame manager, instead. So, you don&#039;t have windows overlapping others. 

Every application window is sent to a frame, so you can split up your screen in several frames, always seeing all the windows at the same time. 

It&#039;s good when you have a lot of terminals to use, for example. But maybe it&#039;s not so good when you are using applications such as GIMP.

You can use only your keyboard to manage the frames and switch between workspaces. You can, too, save layout presets, so you have a workspace prepared to position an application in a specific frame everytime you run it.
